ABOUT US

BACKGROUND
:  My name is Bernadette Baca.  I grew up in the Colorado area.  I own and
develop AAA Crafts Corner.  I enjoy working on crafts of different sorts.  The first craft I learned was
crocheting.  I was taught how to crochet when I was 9 years old.  I have had the passion for poetry
since I was in 4th grade.  Somehow, I have always managed to surround myself with other people
who likes to work on some sort of crafts.  Because of this surrounding, I have developed an interest
more types of crafts.  I have also developed the desire to learn to create my own patterns.

Aside from making handmade crafts, I am also a poet.  I started writing poetry when i was in
elementary school.  When I was in high school, I took a creative writing course.  I enjoyed the course
very much.  As our semester final we were supposed to pick our own project to do.  Many of the
students chose to study other poets and authors.  I, however, decided to compile my own selection
of poetry.  I worked very hard on my project.  I typed my poems and made copies of them for all of
the students of my class as well as my teacher.  Part of our grade was to be determined by our
fellow students.  I put a comment sheet at the back for them to tear out and give to the teacher.  I
received an A+ for my project.  Many of the students made the comment that I should publish my
work.  I could not have imagined myself to be a published writer.  A few years ago, I submitted a
poem to poetry.com.  They also published the poem that I submitted.  I have two poems on there
now if you would like to see them.  Search for Bernadette Baca.  I would also like to offer the service
of writing poetry for special occasions.  I am also going to take pictures of people, animal and
scenery to write poetry.  I am looking into publishing my poetry.

I never really sold at craft fairs.  I mainly sold to personal acquaintances.  I was once told by my aunt
of how she sometimes sold her items by consignment at local stores.  However, it was proven to be
difficult to find the stores that sold items on consignment basis close to me.  I have thought about it
much since I learned how to use the computer.  I decided my best route to sell my products and
services was to do it via the internet.  The internet allows me the avenue to reach a larger group of
buyers than just selling locally does.  More and more people buy from the internet.  And for good
reasons too.  The internet provides great service without the hassle of waiting in line at the stores.  I
also realized that I could provide the service to other crafters to be able to sell on the internet,
without the hassles of building a complete site for themselves.  Selling on the internet lifts the burden
of other crafters having to wait till weekend craft fairs to be able to sell their products.  Selling on the
internet provides sales transactions to be made 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  No more having to
wait till the store opens.

My vision is to be able to create a community of crafters and artists of all sorts to be able to share
their ideas and suggestions with one another.  I also intend to provide an easy and inexpensive
alternative way to display as well as sell their creations to a much wider market of buyers.  This will
help to build the public appreciation of items which are handmade.  Many times the public does not
realize the true value of handmade items due to this time where almost everything is made in
factories.  I want our customers to know that when they purchase from aaacraftscorner.com, that
they are supporting the talents and livelihood of many crafters and artists.

I am dedicated to offer the best service possible to crafters, artists and admirers.  I hope that each
visit to aaacraftscorner.com will prove to be helpful as well as enjoyable.

Sincerely,
Bernadette Baca, owner
